Extrusion Solutions for Developing New Aqua Feeds

The Brabender TwinLab-F 20/40 is an excellent laboratory device for developing and testing aquatic feed recipes and ingredients. The process unit consists of a clamshell barrel with a length of 40 D which can be opened to observe processing steps and ingredient changes along the screw profile. Furthermore, this enables the screws to be removed easily and the barrel to be cleaned quickly.

In addition to the main feed-in opening, gravimetric feed-in or water feed-in ports are also available at a barrel length of 10 D, 20 D, or 30 D. If required, volumetric feed-ins can be installed at barrel lengths of 12 D and 22 D.
