Aquafeed producer first among peers to have carbon footprint vetted

While many other feed companies have made progress in developing more-sustainable feed formulas, for instance by reducing the feed’s fish meal or fish oil content, Skretting Italy says it is the first among its peers to have the carbon footprint of its feed portfolio independently certified.


Partnership evaluates RAS-specific feed

Cargill and The Freshwater Institute have entered into a partnership to evaluate one of the biggest factors in fish farming: feed. Cargill said a 2018 study it commissioned to The Freshwater Institute resulted in the feed supplier’s “most successful” grower feeds for RAS so far.


‘Farm-on-a-boat’ idea could disrupt shellfish industry
