West Coast Salmon partners with PR Aqua for RAS project

West Coast Salmon will be working with PR Aqua to build and operate an industrial-scale Atlantic salmon RAS operation planned in Reno, Nev. The first phase is designed to deliver up to 14,000 tonnes per year of production capacity, starting in the first half of 2025.


Innovation eases backbreaking aspect of oyster farming

Called FlipFarm Systems, the technology developed by New Zealand company FlipFarm features Hexcyl Pro oyster cages attached to a conveyor belt that transports the cages toward the side of a harvesting vessel to be manually flipped one at a time with just a slight push.


DFO opens applications for clean technology program

Canada’s Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is accepting project proposals for its Fisheries and Aquaculture Clean Technology Adoption Program (FACTAP). The FACTAP application deadline is Feb. 28.
