Canadian think tank criticizes B.C's salmon farming ban as activism over science

Macdonald-Laurier Institute (MLI), an Ottawa-based think tank, has said the government’s decision to end salmon farming reflects the victory of activism over science. It published a paper, Swimming Against the Tide, making a case for salmon fish farming in British Columbia.


ASC promotes responsibly farmed seafood at Taste America event

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) was present at the James Beard Foundation’s (JBF) national Taste America event in Boston, Mass. to elevate responsibly farmed seafood.  The Feb. 6 event featured over 25 New England chefs dishing creative takes on local cuisine.
