Another source of aquaculture misinformation has surfaced online. Industry & community leaders have immediately spoken out against it. These criticisms tend to be small groups of loud voices, and so, the industry must respond louder and more united.

The Atlantic Salmon Federation is spreading aquaculture misinformation, says the Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA). The Federation’s website, salmon.info, is filled with biased articles backed by dated research, unfounded statements, and trailers for fear-mongering films, NAIA wrote in a press release.
