NAIA calls out misinformation from salmon.info campaign

The Atlantic Salmon Federation is spreading aquaculture misinformation, says the Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA). The Federation’s website, salmon.info, is filled with biased articles backed by dated research, unfounded statements, and trailers for fear-mongering films, NAIA wrote in a press release.


BioMar research tackles nutritional loss in waterborne aquafeed systems

Research from BioMar has highlighted some of the aquafeed challenges associated with waterborne feeding systems. Waterborne feeding systems use underwater feeding technology to feed fish in aquaculture tanks.


Springhills Fish owner is first farmer to join ARIO board

Agriculture Research & Innovation Ontario (ARIO) has appointed a fish farmer to its board for the first time, Springhills Fish owner RJ Taylor. ARIO, a Canadian crown agency, is designed to drive innovation in Ontario agriculture, covering everything from seafood and meat to vegetables.
