A message from Bakers Journal

Deadline to enter: 12:00am EST, March 1, 2022

Today is the final day to get your entries for Inspirational Bakery of the Year! What inspires you, in the kitchen and in your community? What sets your bakery apart? What did you do that put a smile on a customer or neighbour’s face?

Founding Sponsor, Ardent Mills and Bakers Journal want to hear from bakeries all across Canada.

Join recent entrants in the Jake the Baker Inspirational Bakery of the Year contest!

Club Cappuccino Café, a small local family-run café in Thunder Bay, Ont., shared their story of how they created a grab-and-go dessert table to make take-out orders safe and convenient during the pandemic lockdown, among other creative innovations.

Says, owner Josie Montanaro, “We were told many times over the last two years that coming out to our café was the highlight and the sweet treat sweetened their day many times. That helped us keep going many times throughout these challenging times.”

Tell us YOUR heartwarming story highlighting your community involvement, creativity and innovation! Don’t be shy: For every entry received, Bakers Journal and founding sponsor Ardent Mills will donate $50 to a worthy charity!

The deadline is coming up fast! Enter by 12:00 a.m. EST, March 1, 2022, and you could win a trip to Bakery Showcase to accept the award and a cover story in Bakers Journal!

Good luck, Club Cappuccino Café … and good luck to all!
