Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah
Chief Nishan Duraiappah, born in Sri Lanka before immigrating to Canada, began his career with the Halton Police in December 1995. Chief Duraiappah has served as the Operations Commander for Milton and Halton Hills, the Commander of the Office of Continuous Improvement and Strategic Management (OCISM) and Chief’s Executive Officer. He was promoted to Deputy Chief in the fall of 2015. In October of 2019, Chief Duraiappah was appointed Chief of Peel Regional Police.

Barrie Police Insp. Peter Dewsnap
Insp. Peter Dewsnap commenced his career in policing in 1994 with the Barrie Police Service. He was promoted to sergeant in 2007 and then to staff sergeant in 2011 where he worked in Operational Services, Community Services Unit, Communications, and Investigative Services. He was promoted to inspector in 2016. As an inspector, he has worked in Corporate/Executive Services and his current assignment in Investigative Services.
