A Message from our publisher

For years Blue Line ran an annual Police Leadership Award. In 2020, we changed things up and created the Rookie of the Year Award, now in its third year.

This award still recognizes and encourages a standard of excellence that exemplifies "Leadership as an Activity not a Position," and pride in service to the public. Its goal is to highlight promising new officers who are effectively paving the way for the policing of today and tomorrow, and making positive waves among their peers, agencies, communities and beyond.

This award is open to active Canadian police officers who have been serving for three years or less and are below the rank of senior officer. They must have demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to service through deeds, resulting in a measurable benefit to their peers, their service and the community.

Get these officers recognized!

The winner will be featured as the June/July 2022 cover story and honoured at Blue Line Expo.
