The Ottawa Police Services Board is seeking two Deputy Chiefs of Police to join the Ottawa Police Service. With over 2100 members and a 2022 budget of $343.8 million, the Ottawa Police Service serves the City’s 1M residents. The OPS is in a period of transition as it welcomes its new Police Chief Eric Stubbs, a new Mayor, a new Police Service Board, and now looks to hire two Deputy Chiefs of Police.

The two Deputy Chiefs lead the following Commands: Community Policing and Intelligence, Information & Investigations. Deputies may be placed in any role where they will embrace and lead in areas such as culture change, IT modernization and innovative community initiatives at the discretion of the Chief. They are responsible for providing strategic-level leadership, direction, and oversight of the operational and administrative functions within their Command area. The Deputy Chief will possess elite communication and interpersonal skills and will ensure the highest standards in emergency response and communications within an environment that is inclusive and collaborative.
