The World Police & Fire Games is a 10-day Olympic-style event which is held every 2 years. It features athletes representing firefighters, law enforcement and first responders from around the world.
The Games will be held in Winnipeg from July 28 to August 6, 2023, and feature 63 sports to be hosted in more than 40 venues. For a full list of the sports, visit our website at wpfg2023.com/sports.
With more than 8500 athletes representing 60+ countries and an estimated 3000 volunteers getting involved and giving back to the community, the Games will be the largest sporting event ever held in Manitoba. Athletes can sign up to compete in the sport(s) of their choice individually or as a team at wpfg2023.com/registration.
The Games will also feature an athlete’s village at the Forks for the athletes to wind down after a day of competitions with food, drinks and fun. The Forks is a geographical meeting point of the Assiniboine and the Red River that has served as a meeting place for over 6,000 years and a trading post for many years for Canada's Indigenous. It is a premier destination for all major events in Winnipeg and the quintessential meeting place, with food and cultures culminating in one location.
