Prairie provinces take top three spots in murder rates

Statistics Canada has released a survey on homicide rates, which shows that in 2016 Saskatchewan was No. 1 among provinces with 54 homicides, or 4.69 slayings per 100,000 population.


Nearly half of impaired driving fatalities ‘innocent victims’

Ontario Provincial Police say nearly half of the people killed in impaired driving crashes over the past 15 years were not the impaired driver. They say 987 people have died in alcohol or drug-related collisions on OPP-patrolled roads since 2003.


CP and Canadian Pacific Police Association reach agreement
