Laurier LaunchPad startup raises $1M for road-safety technology

Wilfrid Laurier University students Harmeet Chauhan and Rahul Malhotra, Laurier business graduate Baltej Sandhu and University of Waterloo student Dastiger Khan launched Guard-Ex in 2017 to address the need for an “accurate and unbiased roadside impairment screening device” for law enforcement.


Free sight-saving exams for working police/service dogs

This May, more than 7,500 service and working animals will receive free sight-saving eye exams in Canada, the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The ACVO/StokesRx National Service Animal Eye Exam event was developed as a national platform to address eye health, which is critical for the safety of the animals and their handlers
