Helen C. Escott, a retired RCMP civilian member, has released her second crime thriller: Operation Vanished, and named her main character after “two of the most dedicated and honourable police officers... extraordinary women who put their shoulders to the glass ceiling and shattered it...”

In June, 26 RCMP delegates from across the country attended the 2nd World LGBTQ Conference for Criminal Justice Professionals, hosted by the Toronto Police Service in partnership with the RCMP. For many, the conference was life-changing.


New Halifax police chief installed
