The head of the RCMP in Nunavut says she’s trying to find ways to bring police and Inuit together. But Chief Supt. Amanda Jones says officer burnout in small detachments with big social problems may be contributing to officer conduct that has sparked outrage in Nunavut.


Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders announces resignation effective July 31

Toronto’s police chief says he’s stepping down as head of the force. In a news conference, Saunders — who has held the position since 2015 — said he looks forward to spending more time with his family before moving on to a new role.
