Peterborough Police pilot teams to redirect opioid users to resources

More than $1.9 million in funding from the Canadian government over the next three years has been slated for a new pilot project involving the Peterborough Police Service. Through this funding, people who use drugs and experience mental health issues will be connected to newly-created community-based outreach and support services, as announced by the feds at the end of August.


Canadian Security magazine dubs OPP auxiliary member Security Director of the Year 2020

Harold Wax, senior director and chief security officer of corporate security and business continuity management, BGIS Global Integrated Solutions, has been named Security Director of the Year 2020 by Canadian Security magazine, Blue Line’s sister publication. Wax has been an auxiliary member of the Ontario Provincial Police since 1996.
