One in 10 female post-secondary students sexually assaulted in school setting: study

A new study says more Canadian university and college students who identify as women were sexually assaulted in a post-secondary setting over a year than those who identify as men, with the majority of sexual assaults perpetrated by other students.


New OPP detachment in Mississauga aims to strengthen highway safety

The Ontario government is opening a new Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment in Mississauga. The $20 million facility will ensure local OPP have the “tools and space they need to patrol provincial highways, which include sections of Highway 401 – Canada’s most travelled transportation corridor,” according to the province.


RCMP not charging former N.L. cabinet minister

Police have ruled out charges against a former Newfoundland and Labrador cabinet minister and a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officer over the leak of a police promotion list before it was seen by the executive council.
