Nishnawbe Aski Nation Grand Chief Alvin Fiddler says the agreement signed by Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board will allow the force to have the same standards as every other force across the province.


Quebec government wants Supreme Court to rule on random police stops

In October, Quebec’s Court of Appeal upheld a 2022 Superior Court decision that declared inoperative an article of the province’s Highway Safety Code that allows police to stop drivers without reasonable suspicion that an offence has been committed.


B.C. launches independent review of E-Comm 911 services

The review will examine and provide recommendations on the financial, governance and operational performance of Emergency Communications for British Columbia Incorporated (E-Comm), the non-profit organization that maintains the emergency radio system for police, fire and ambulance services.


Police say 57 arrested, 103 charges laid in Hamilton drug market investigation
