Time to register for the WPAC Asia Wood Pellet Conference!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you at the first-ever WPAC Asia Wood Pellet Conference, taking place online on February 17 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Japan Standard Time (February 16, 7:00 p.m. EST).

Registration is now open, so don’t miss your chance to learn more about the opportunities wood pellets present to energize Asia in a low-carbon, sustainable way! Here’s a look at some of the sessions (all times in Japan Standard Time):

9:45 – 10:10 a.m.: Examining political and legal trends: Government legislation and policy in Japan and their impacts for biomass – Peter Armstrong and Mayo Ito, Nishimura & Asahi

10:10 – 10:35 a.m.: Evolving requirements in sustainability: learn about biomass and GHG requirements currently under development in Japan – Takanobu Aikawa, Ph.D., Renewable Energy Institute

11:05-11:20 a.m.: Responsible, renewable and sustainable: The Canadian wood pellet advantage – Gordon Murray, WPAC

11:20 – 11:40 a.m.: Verifying the pellet carbon story: Presenting results of a Canada-Japan GHG study – Joseph Aquino, MBA, RPF, Pinnacle Renewable Energy

11:40 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: New horizons for biomass: a look at Taiwan and other Asian opportunities – Rick Harris, Skeena BioEnergy

Live sessions will be simultaneously translated into Japanese and Korean. Attendees will have time to ask questions at the end of each session, and recordings from each presentation will be sent to all registrants after the event.
