In theory, woodchip heating is ideal for Canada. In reality, the chip abundantly available here is coarse and inconsistent causing jamming problems for all but large-scale, expensive ‘hog fuel’ systems. To become mainstream, we need better availability of biomass-quality chips or better feed systems.
