Forge Hydrocarbons to build $30M biofuel plant in Ontario

Forge Hydrocarbons received an equity investment from Shell Ventures and a follow-on contribution from Valent Low-Carbon Technologies, which will help build a first-of-its-kind $30 million commercial-scale, biofuel production plant in Sombra, Ont.


BC cleantech sector revenue jumped to $2.4 billion in 2019

The B.C. Cleantech 2019 Status Report found revenue in the sector was $2.4 billion in 2019 versus $1.8 billion in 2016. Employment in the sector climbed to 16,300.


Xebec announces first Canadian RNG plant

Located in Quebec, this facility will process over 45,000 metric tons of organic waste per year through an anaerobic digestion process. This process will produce biogas that is upgraded into RNG by a turnkey biogas upgrading equipment package supplied by Xebec.


Greenlane Renewables signs $7M supply contract with RNGC

Under the contract with Renewable Natural Gas Company, Greenlane will supply three biogas upgrading systems, which utilize the company’s proprietary water wash technology.


Protests force CN Rail to shut down parts of network
