Federal government invests $3.5M in UBC’s BioProducts Institute

The funds will help support the development, scale-up and production of sustainable bioproducts, including filters, adhesives, lightweight materials and PPE, by helping to de-risk technologies and support the commercialization of the bioproducts.


Anomera receives $4.25M to produce forestry-based alternative to plastic microbeads

The federal and Quebec governments recently announced an investment of $4.25 million for Anomera Inc., to support the construction of a demonstration plant that will produce 250 tonnes per year of carboxylated-cellulose nanocyrstals (cCNC) and bring the product to market.


SBP-endorsed Regional Risk Assessment for BC published

Regional Risk Assessments evaluate an entire geographic region and determine the risks associated with sourcing feedstock from that region. Thus, the need for individual biomass producers to conduct risk assessments is avoided and consistency is guaranteed.


Greenlane Renewables signs $12.8M in biogas upgrading system supply contracts
