While the first satellite plant is nearing completion, the mechanical assembly has started at Drax site, located in Arkansas. This second satellite plant will also produce 5 tons of industrial pellet per hour.
PRODESA is responsible for the mechanical assembly supervision as well as for the engineering, manufacturing and commissioning of the project. In addition, once the plant is in operation, the Company will provide technical after sales assistance from their service center in Atlanta (GA).
This project is a step forward in PRODESA expansion in the US and strengths their position as a leading supplier of turnkey solutions for pellet production plants.

A pilot research project that began in Inuvik, N.W.T., four years ago is simultaneously addressing two local matters of concern. The first explores a way to reduce the amount of landfill-bound waste cardboard, estimated at 100 tonnes each year. The second – related to the first – looks at taking that cardboard and converting it into a source of fuel for heating.

From the outset, WPAC members embraced the initiative wholeheartedly with 14 of the 15 plants now completed, with the 15th underway. The information developed at the workshops will be put into a workable template for the plant to use when it submits its plan to WorkSafeBC.
