Groupe Lebel constructing 100,000-tonne pellet plant

The pellet plant is set to begin operating in 2023, with a maximum capacity of 100,000 tonnes of pellets per year. The plant will use 250,000 tonnes of sawmill residuals, including sawdust, bark and savings, as well as low-grade biologs.

First Schmid biomass boiler installed in Canada

To reduce the ecological footprint of the new educational complex, the Centre de formation agricole de Mirabel (CFAM), built in 2020, the Centre de services scolaires des Mille-Îles (CSSMI) has installed a Schmid 360 kW industrial biomass boiler.


Waste Connections of Canada, Enbridge proposing $50M waste-to-RNG plant

The facility will capture landfill gas generated by decomposing waste and transform it into low carbon renewable natural gas. From there, the RNG created will be injected into Enbridge Gas’ local natural gas distribution system that supplies gas to homes and businesses.
