The Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC) announced the recipients of the Jenny’s Heroes Canada Grant, which was developed by The Jenny Jones Foundation to give back to those who serve as volunteer firefighters in Ontario. The grant dollar amount was set to be $25,000 but Jenny doubled the amount to $50,000.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service had its hands full Monday morning with reports of an explosion and fire at the Inkster industrial park. Officials said multiple crews responded to the fire which due to its structural hazards and hazmat concerns required the use of a drone to assist with battling the blaze.
