Yarmouth-area departments opt out of dispatch service

Several fire departments in southwestern Nova Scotia are opting out of a fire dispatch service run by the fire department in Yarmouth, N.S. It's not that they are unhappy with the service, it's the price that is now being requested.


Historic Ontario wildland fire season officially ends

October 31st marked the end of 2018’s wildland fire season. With more than 1,000 wildland fires in central and northern Ontario, 2018 was one of the busiest fire seasons in the province's history. To meet this challenge, the government has so far provided an additional $100 million in funding to successfully combat these blazes and keep Ontarians safe.


10 Saskatchewan fire departments receive vital grain-rescue equipment
