Crews contain fast moving grass fire

A fast-moving grass fire that posed a risk to three communities in Saskatchewan has been contained. Battlefords RCMP said the fire burning north of Highway 40 had posed a risk to Sweetgrass First Nation, the village of Prongua and Table Mountain.


Hundreds evacuated in Quebec as flooding affects 2,300 homes

Flooding from the spring thaw and rain has affected more than 2,300 homes in Quebec and 1,200 residents have been evacuated. Soldiers across the province were filling and stacking sandbags as officials warned floodwaters were likely to keep rising this week due to warming temperatures, combined with rain.
