Memorial ride raises over $20,000 for fallen firefighters

The third annual Memorial Ride to Ottawa came to a close on Friday. This year over 40 firefighters embarked on a three-day cycling ride to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.


JIBC appoints new fire and safety director

The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) appointed Charlene Jordan-Jones as the first female director of its fire and safety division.


Niagara-on-the-Lake appoints new fire chief

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., has named its new fire chief. The town announced in a media release that after an internal hiring process Nick Ruller accepted the position of fire chief and community emergency management co-ordinator effective immediately.

Fatal fire on Saskatchewan First Nation deemed suspicious
