B.C. fire department raises $93,000 for Ride to Conquer Cancer

Eighteen members of the Victoria Fire Department in B.C. joined the thousands of participants in this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer.


Greenview, Alberta names new regional fire chief

Greenview, Alta., named Wayne Brown as its new regional fire chief. Brown spent the last 35 years with fire services across Alberta, including time most recently with the Calgary Coordinated Safety Response Team and Internal Safety Response Unit.


Fleming College students qualify for international fire fighting competition

Four Fleming College pre-service firefighter students in Peterborough, Ont., have qualified for the World Firefighter Combat Challenge in Alabama next month.
