Human rights commission dismisses gender discrimination case

The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission dismissed a female former firefighter’s allegation of gender discrimination and found that Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency did not retaliate against her following an earlier complaint.


Dogs assist in new first responder PTSD program

The Valhalla Project Niagara is launching in Ontario to treat, educate and advocate for first responders and veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Niagara Regional Police Services Const. Phil Sheldon announced on Oct. 5 that the project will launch in March 2020.
