Vancouver firefighters test new device that records chemical exposure

Fire departments in Vancouver are testing a new device called SensorUp that can track where firefighters are on scene and record what they’re inhaling.


Saskatoon Fire Department implements falling awareness program

The Saskatoon Fire Department hopes a new partnership program with the Saskatoon Council on Aging (SCOA) will help prevent more seniors from falling down. The program, called Remembering When, brings SCOA volunteers and fire fighting community outreach workers into homes to identify risks before they become problems.


London fire official placed on leave amid investigation

London’s Acting Deputy Fire Chief Jack Burt has been placed on leave pending a code of conduct investigation.
