Expanded WCB cancer coverage coming for Saskatchewan firefighters

Firefighters in Saskatchewan will soon have expanded workers’ compensation coverage for six additional cancers. The government said presumption coverage for prostate, skin, breast, cervical and ovarian cancer, as well as multiple myeloma, will come into effect on Nov. 15.


Injured Toronto fire captain released from ICU

A Toronto fire captain critically injured while battling a three-alarm blaze at a vacant downtown building earlier this month is out of intensive care. In a statement issued on Monday, Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg said that Capt. James Warren has been released from the intensive care unit at St. Michael’s Hospital.
