Winnipeg firefighters' union sounds alarm over 'mass exodus' of fire paramedics

The union that represents firefighters and fire truck paramedics is sounding the alarm over a “mass exodus” of fire truck Primary Care Paramedics (Fire PCPs). In a letter to members, United Fire Fighters of Winnipeg (UFFW) President Alex Forrest said 70 Fire PCPs left the program in the last year – the majority over the last two months.


Perth fire departments' social media campaign a hit

Construction underway for new fire hall in St. Lunaire-Griquet

After years of waiting, the St. Lunaire-Griquet Fire Department in Newfoundland is finally seeing work commence on a new fire hall. Facilitated by the fire department, local ambulance services, the town, and the provincial government, fire Chief Tyler Hillier was proud to see construction finally start on Oct. 28.
