Program to support psychological health of firefighters expands across Canada

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has announced the expansion of its Resilient Minds program from British Columbia and Prince Edward Island into the Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador.


Nibinamik First Nation gets 'new' fire truck from Nipigon

A remote First Nation in northwestern Ontario will soon have its own working fire truck. Nibinamik First Nation is slated to receive the donated pumper truck, once the winter road network opens in late 2020 or early 2021, based on the weather.


Calgary names new chief of CEMA

Calgary Emergency Management Agency deputy Chief Sue Henry has been chosen to replace the outgoing head of the organization. Henry's current boss, CEMA chief Tom Sampson, announced last month that he would leave the post after 35 years of service with the city.
