City of Greater Sudbury disciplines a second volunteer firefighter

A second volunteer firefighter was suspended for one day by the City of Greater Sudbury in Ontario for writing a letter to council earlier this year, expressing concern and offering suggestions to improve the fire service. The Sudbury Star reports.


London firefighters sound alarm over rise in arson cases

London police and fire services in Ontario are both describing a recent surge in the number of arson investigations involving vacant or unoccupied buildings as a “concern.” Members of both services and the Office of the Fire Marshal are investigating. Global News reports.
