Alberta introduces cutting-edge wildfire technology

Alberta’s government is implementing new technology for detecting and managing wildfires across the province, including remote-piloted aircraft systems, gel water enhancer systems, water delivery systems, and remote camera wildfire detection systems.


Newfoundland and Labrador forest firefighters recognized for service in Australia

Four Newfoundland and Labrador forest fire fighting personnel from the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture have been awarded the New South Wales Premier’s Brushfire Emergency Citation for their efforts in battling unprecedented brushfires in Australia during 2019 and 2020.
