In Saskatchewan, the Moose Jaw Fire Department responds to over 50 calls a year outside of city limits. Portable pumps are key, as fire hydrants are not available in most locations.


Firefighters use GPS to locate two people lost in Ottawa forest

Ottawa firefighters located two people lost in the South March Conservation Forest Saturday evening using the GPS signal from a cellphone and a portable location device.
