Canada funds new firefighter urban interface training program

A pilot project through the International Association of Firefighters will receive $400,000 in funding from the federal government to bolster training in the battle against wildland urban interface fires.


‘A terrifying trend’: Firefighters find no working smoke alarms in over 100 homes in Brampton

Of the more than 4,000 homes visited so far this year, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services has done more than 450 smoke and CO alarm inspections and installations, finding more than 25 per cent of homes had no working smoke detectors.
