The results of the 2023 Great Canadian Fire Census are in, and the trends illustrate a growing threat to response capacity. This is the third census produced by the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs.

Strathcona County implements Next Generation 9-1-1 network

Strathcona County, Alta.’s Emergency Communications Centre transitioned to the Next Generation 9-1-1 network on Oct. 26. The city said in a press release that it is the first municipality in Canada to make the switch.
