It is important to be honest about your current state of fitness, and realistic with what you can achieve in an appropriate amount of time. If you don’t currently do strength training or go running regularly, it won’t be realistic to expect to squat double your body weight or run a half marathon in 30 days. We began to look at the headfirst ladder dive last time in our discussion on escape techniques for firefighter survival. We laid out the foundation for why this is an excellent tactic to use for personal escape/rapid egress from a structure.
