Toronto Fire Services introduced a lithium-ion battery public safety and education campaign in partnership with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal and the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs.


Nova Scotia continuing first responder mental health pilot program

The public safety personnel mental health program piloted by the province of Nova Scotia is set to continue. PSPNET launched in February 2022 as a free, confidential program that offers cognitive behavioural therapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, the province reported in a press release.


Nunavik firefighters get training to combat wildfires

Firefighters from eight Nunavik communities gathered in Kuujjuaq in June to take part in a two-day wildfire training session.


P.E.I. receives $3 million investment towards wildfire preparedness

The governments of Canada and Prince Edward Island issued a joint investment of $3 million for provincial wildfire preparedness.
