Moving from data collection to predictive maintenance

A cloud-based data analytics dashboard platform from B3 Systems has allowed EACOM Timber's Elk Lake sawmill to automate a formerly manual KPI reporting process by gleaning data from its machine centres in real time.

The potential of the analytics platform to incorporate machine learning and other future artificial intelligence solutions was a key factor in EACOM's decision to move forward with the pilot project. Read CFI's Tech Action article on the project.

Get the inside track on this project from those who made it happen at OptiSaw – the one-day education forum for those driving the future of sawmilling – taking place in Quebec City on April 22.
