The 2021 Experience

On the face of things, 2020 was a fantastic year for the wood products industry with increased demand and record-breaking price levels. At the same time, the pandemic led to drastic changes in the way people live, work, and in the way we trade and source our lumber. Will there be a gradual return to what we used to call “normal”?

New strategies will need to be put in place to increase productivity and adjust to the demand.
It is in this context of great changes that the organizing committee of the Montreal Wood Convention is proposing an activity that will make it possible to view the future with optimism. Informative, "The 2021 Experience", will address topics such as: the current and fundamental concerns expressed by the industry, the transformation it will undergo in terms of practices, modus operandi, innovations, and development. To do this, a cohort of expert panelists will share their vision and rigorously answer participants' questions.

Mr. Kevin Edgson, Eacom, Mr. Craig Johnston, Forest City Trading Group, and Mr. Andy Goodman of Sherwood will participate in this panel chaired by Mr. Cees de Jager of the Softwood Lumber Board as moderator. For his part, Mr. Reinhard Binder, Binderholz, will close this program and paint a portrait of the European market.

The 2021 Experience, scheduled for March 24, 2021, is offered free of charge thanks to the support of sponsors.
