Ottawa wants softwood duty exemptions

Ottawa is trying to get itself exempted from softwood lumber taxes. The Canadian Press reported that a letter was written from Ottawa to the secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce asking for a number of exemptions following last month's announcement from Washington.
