Hampton Lumber to purchase Conifex’s Fort St. James mill

“While economic conditions are extremely challenging right now for the lumber industry in British Columbia, we believe the long-term outlook for Canadian lumber is promising,” said Hampton Lumber CEO Steve Zika.


Progressing combustible dust mitigation and control

From 2012 to 2018, the forest products manufacturing industry, labour unions and WorkSafeBC worked on strong mitigation and control measures regarding combustible dust. The BC Forest Safety Council summarizes the progress that has been made.
