COFI, CFI launch fourth annual forestry photo contest

COFI and CFI will be accepting photo entries until Dec. 18, 2019. “Through this photo contest we look forward to celebrating the countless benefits the forest industry provides to British Columbians,” said Susan Yurkovich, COFI President and CEO.


Support programs for BC forestry workers now available

Impacted workers, contractors and communities in Interior B.C. can find application details for the retirement bridging program, the forest employment program, community support grants, training opportunities and funding through a new web portal.


West Fraser reports 3% drop in Q3 2019 lumber production

Lumber production was down three per cent over the second quarter as the Chasm closure, 100 Mile House shift reduction and variable operating schedules in B.C. were partially offset by increased production at West Fraser’s U.S. South mills.
