BC government creates $9.3M fund to help forest sector with COVID-19 costs

“This $9.3 million fund will help forestry businesses keep their employees on staff, and their communities safe with the additional costs they’ve already faced related to COVID-19,” said Katrine Conroy, B.C. minister of forests, lands, natural resource operations and rural development, in a statement.

U.S. single-family starts leveled off at strong pace in November

“Though single-family construction continued to be strong in November, builders are unable to keep up with demand due to rising regulatory and construction costs and shortages of lots and labour,” said Chuck Fowke, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
