Complete 2020 CFI Contractor Survey now available

Last spring, we surveyed logging contractors across the country for our biennial Contractor Survey. Results of the survey were published in survey snippets and regional reports on our website, and now we’ve released the full 58-page 2020 CFI Contractor Survey digital report!


NAHB: U.S. housing starts end 2020 strong, but risks ahead

Led by a solid, double-digit gain in single-family starts, overall housing starts increased 5.8 per cent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.67 million units. But rising lumber prices and increasing regulatory cost concerns could affect future production.


WRI: Global wood fibre price indices moved up in Q3 2020

The Global Softwood Fiber Price Index (SFPI) was up 1.4 per cent q-o-q in the 3Q/20, the first increase in almost two years. The rise was mainly due to the weakening U.S. dollar.
