DEMO International postponed to 2022

Based on their assessment and recommendation, the Canadian Woodlands Forum, in partnership with their host SBC Cedar and show partners, has decided to postpone DEMO International until Sept. 22-24, 2022.


Forests Ontario names Malcolm Cockwell president, Christine Leduc vice-president

Malcolm Cockwell of Haliburton, Ont., has been selected by Forests Ontario’s board of directors as the new president, effective immediately. Current board member Christine Leduc from Timmins, Ont., will become vice-president of the board of Forests Ontario.


SFI announces new standards focused on solutions to sustainability challenges

Requirements for a new SFI Climate Smart Forestry Objective are one of the highlights of the new standards. SFI-certified organizations will now be required to ensure forest management activities address climate change adaptation and mitigation measures.
