CFI opens nominations for ninth annual Top 10 Under 40

BC sets out plan to modernize forestry regulations

The plan has three guiding principles: increased sector participation, enhanced stewardship and sustainability, and a strengthened social contract that will give government more control over management of the industry.


San Group to invest $100M in four forestry-based projects

The investment includes $50-$60 million for an agreement to ship lumber via container ships from Port Alberni’s deep sea port, and $15 million in the company’s Coulson sawmill for a new second line that can process small, low-grade or odd-shaped logs.
