Forestry workers welcome Northern Pulp’s $350-million transformation plan

“We hope Northern Pulp’s plan to transform the mill into one of the world’s cleanest will meet Nova Scotia’s environmental standards so workers can get back to their good jobs that are vital to the province’s forestry sector,” says Jerry Dias, national president of Unifor, in a statement.


BC investing $2M to open second intake for the Mass Timber Demonstration Program

The funding will be used to further advance mass timber projects in the province. It will support eligible applicants with incremental or one-time costs – up to $500,000 for individual projects – related to design development, permitting and construction activities in mass timber building.
